I've spent most of my working life in the restaurant industry, starting as a bus boy and working my way up to management and menu development. After several years bartending and working Hollywood night clubs, I met my wife and we decided to move to her home state of Minnesota. I started working in wine distribution and studied to earn my CSW certification from the Society of Wine Educators.
After a handful of years selling wine, I decided to start making wine at home. I started with frozen grape juice, and eventually graduated to pressing fresh grapes from California. Wow, what a difference that made! I am self taught, but have had some help and tutelage from several amazing wine makers along the way.
